Diabetes Reserarch Network

Ok here we go...we need more patient advocates or lay members to join the National Institute of Health Research - Diabetes Research Network (wow what a mouthful)

Have a good look at the entire site as it is very very good. No matter where you are, you can get involved...they offer very good training in diabetes. They offer very very good info on diabetes and free courses (expenses paid) and once a year you will be invited to a conference in London for a full day of lectures (that are very informative and no need to worry as you don't have to participate if you don't want to). It's brilliant and it's free ! If you live miles away from London you get a free nights accomodation in a 4/5 star hotel where the conference is held....and if you are really lucky you may get to meet me too
(or should that be the downside and )

They offer free courses...travel paid within your area to learn about diabetes and get a chanc eto learn about and participate in curent or futire research....

And we and they are all jolly nice people including the academics and Consultants and Professors and mere Podiatrists like me
