A diet for all diabetics
After doing research I believe the safest way to eat is to eat so you can control your blood sugars.
There has been a LOT of success for diabetics on lower carbohydrate diets - the following links may help.

Using a lower carb diet, I have read testimonials from a lot of people saying it improves their diabetes, doesn't affect their blood pressure (or improves it) and improves their cholesterol levels.

I will check out the websites, anything to get control and consistent readings.
I did buy the Anthony Worrell Thomson book from Diabetes UK before Christmas, but with one thing and a another ( a four year old who has just messed up my nice tidy floor for one) I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Time for a change
Started weight watchers diet this week. Apparently it's a good one for diabetics to follow because you can still eat from all of the food groups. to be honest I know what I should/shouldn't be eating, but having someone stare at my weight every week should scare me enough to be motivated into shifting some pounds!
Has anyone here done this one? How did you find it? (I did it once a few years back, before the diabetes, and put all the weight on once I started taking insulin. )
