I'm sure after a few these ladies would look quite good, and after they'd had a few they'd be quite nice...
ACtually while we are on the subject of drink, what is the safe limit for a diabetic to drink? Personally after a glass of wine with my lunch on a Sunday I'm fast asleep on the sofa till tea time or until someone else has done the washing up!

Heheehehe I think you have answered your own personal question there then Caroline.
My diabetic nurse always says one glass of red wine/day (depends on the size of your glass of course!!)
Prof Chu a Consultant Diabetologist says don't drink during the week and have a glass or max of two on a Friday and Saturday especially if you are trying to lose weight. (spirits are out).
Never seen anything else about levels other than the recommended amounts but also be guided by what your medication says about the use of alcohol.

I think the jury will always be out on what is safe to drink. A couple at the weekend is enough for me, but I have to want it before I can enjoy it.
Many years ago (before grown up son was born) I worked with a diabeyic blokw who had a drink problem, which caused problems with other things. It put me off drinking too much...

I enjoy a beer or two (Marstons Low Carb or similar where all the sugar is turned to alcohol).. or a glass of wine, but I get a really nice one and ENJOY the flavour. Alcohol lowers your blood sugar and can make you feel hungry (i.e. munchies)...

I get the munchies without a drink, usually when I am bored or upset, so I have to be very careful. I have a bowl of fruit on the table just in case, but when I have the blues (about once a month) I tend to go for anything chocolate. Perhaps I can much the chocolate biscuits with a nottle of wine? I'd go happy at leats...
