Why?.......(A Medical Question) Empty Why?.......(A Medical Question)

Why, when you get stressed or have a shock does it cause indigestion and upset stomach?
I understand why you get stress headaches (something I've suffered from for years Rolling Eyes ), but what causes something that affects your emotions to upset your stomach?
And why does it only happen when the stress/shock/anxiety is all over?

Just curious really Question

DOn't hold me to it, but I think it goes back to when everyone lived in caves. It's something to do with the fight or flight response when we are in danger. danger I am told feels similar to stress.

Hmm, you may have a point there, Caroline... something rings a bell with me in that vein... Suspect
