Re: Latest news on diabetic epidemic!
Now I understand that obesity can cause Diabetes, but obesity isn't always caused by leading a "Sedentary Lifestyle". Doug has had trouble with his weight since his teens, he enjoys his food, but has never had a "bad" diet.
For the past 20 odd years his diet has consisted of fresh meat, lots of fruit and veg, not too much processed food and very little alcohol.
He has always been active at work, starting out as a pipefitter/welder, rising to the rank of project manager. So he's always been very physical at work.
I'm so sick of the "fat and lazy" label people pin to T2s, it's really not fair
Rant over

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOO agree with you. I get so angry with the labelling and the easy cop out by people who find it easier to say such things just because they know diddly squat and don't want to see others sides of the coin. I have just got the new Balance comic today but not read it yet. I do hope that they haven't used the same wording in there (although I won't hold my breath!)
