Dear All,
Please read below before you attempt or feel inclined to buy some please..... it may save you some serious grief later!!

Yet another advertiser I see taking advantage of the site and also coming up with some of the biggest load of old twaddle yet!!

Ugg boots maybe fashionable but for diabetics they can be absolutely lethal !!

I am a Podiatrist and will go out of my way to tell people that these things are unsuitable for most feet.

They were invented as stated to be worn on the beach......NOT on tarmac........ NOT on concrete.......... NOT walking up and downstairs but on soft malleable surfaces i.e sand!

If you have any gait deformity (and just about everyone has to a greater or lesser degree) these will enhance it. How many times have you walked behind kids and adults and seen these Ugg boot heels and soles being worn right over either to one side or the other?

Great way to get a) a sprained ankle or b) broken tibia/fibula

Now if you a diabetic and have good blood circulation to your feet (bounding pulses) and are neuropathic....wear Ugg boots and you are probably well on your way to getting a Charcot foot - which may take years to heal...if ever!
(http://www.diabetesuffolk.com/Complications/Charcot%20foot.htm) See this link for more information re Charcot and if you really want to learn more Google some images of it!

Even if you aren't neuropathic...you have to look after your feet and these definitely won't do that.

Thanks Imogen. It really annoys me that anyone feels the need to advertise like that and having done it once....continue to do so. I just wish I'd been able to take it off earlier!

Take care
Best wishes
