hormonal contraceptive affecting BG?

has anyone else has this problem? i was on the pill for a year and my blood sugars were very unpredictable and unstable, i've now come off it and had the hormone implant but that has had the same affect! i am at the moment unregistered with any diabetic specialist, any advice? Thanks
