I just want to help

Post  brittlall on Wed Oct 24, 2012 5:26 am

I am currently a student at the University of Guelph, who desperately wants to help people with diabetes. I am looking to start a charity but I would love to hear from people with diabetes and what I can do to help. I am well informed about diabetes, however, I want to hear from you all to see what is usually over looked by other organizations. I would be so grateful for any and all feedback. What are issues with having diabetes that you can't believe haven't been dealt with yet?

You are all amazing.

Thank you in advance for anyone who helps in this process.

Hi and welcome Brittlall.

Sorry but the site is very very quiet at the moment - but please take a look at some of the subjects on here and you will see many problems associated with diabetes.

There are two main charity's over here in the UK specialising in diabetes.

I guess that many diabetics and in particular Type 1's would love to have a no invasive way of taking a blood sample (although I understand that tests are already underway with a device and maybe released in due course)

What would you wish to do with a charity? I am sure that you understand that any research involves a phenominal amount of money and there is already a vast amount of research being done all over the world.

What are you studying?

Best wishes
