Life Insurance

Has anyone had trouble getting/renewing a life insuarnce policy? For several reasons our last policies lapsed (before Dave was diagnosed) and we are having trouble getting a new policy for him. I have just had to take a policy with a higher premium for me because of my asthma but legal and general are refusing to give Dave any cover at all

I haven't even tried to get insurance for us -Doug has some through work, but I might have a look later and see what I can find out.

Have a chat with Diabetes UK. I know that they have contacts who will cover diabetics. From previous expereince some tend to be more expensive (i.e travel insurance) but it's worth a try.

I swear i must be walking about with my stress head on or something, cause usually i go straight to google for everything.
Will have a look online tomorrow when i have more than 5 minutes to myself and hopefully come up with something. Since we're already paying a higher premium for me we wouldnt mind doing the same for Dave as long as we can get a policy to cover him.

Found a website last night i think it was called diabeticlife (had links to join diabetic uk forum), and they had a little form to fill out online, which i did. They called this morning, and gave me a quick quote of less than im paying for me Obviously they will still need medical reports and a current blood count but the man i spoke to seemed really hopeful. Fingers crossed.
