Welly, my Collie Cross did something to himself last night in the garden that hurt so much he screamed Crying or Very sad my lovely vet Adam said he's damaged his back/spine and put him on loads of pain killers and something lovely to make him sleepy and ordered cage rest. He only managed to wee a couple of hours ago - Welly, not Adam. We've been so worried.... but we think he's improved a bit.

He's slipped a disk or something. As Adam says, they could Xray, but it wouldn't change how they are treating him at the moment. At least he's been to the loo (1's and 2's) so he has control over himself, but his leg is still not behaving itself Crying or Very sad It could have gone either way and he is such a beautiful person (looks and behaviour) he is so deep in our hearts.... I love you I am lucky that I work at the vets and the out of hours (11pm Saturday night and 10am Saturday morning) and all his treatment so far have amounted to about £20!! Phew! cheers I really hope he improves further or we may have to MRI him or something...

He's still bad, but OK in himself. I think he's enjoying being stoned on all the drugs!!! Very Happy

I remember when our little Cassie slipped down the stairs and hurt her back - she was caged for four days and put on pain killers and was fine after lots of rest.

She really milked the attention too Rolling Eyes

He's not doing too badly. Vomiting a bit which might be cause for concern. It'll be a slow recovery, I think.

He's a collie, so his head is in the clouds most of the time, but at the moment he is just forgetful. Gets outside for a wee and forgets to do it!! You know that feeling "what did I come in here for?".... he's like that!
