WOW!
WOW - just been out watering plants and suddenly a big bird sat on a tree about 10 feet away, turned and looked at me and it's the young, fledged owl that's been making odd noises every night. I managed to get a few pictures too... sat and watched it for about 10 minutes. Very beautiful!
Re: WOW!
ahhh brilliant
just been out to run dogs and nearly been 'run over' by around 50 house martins and swallows and some bats that are picking up the insects. This has to be one of the best 'longest days' for years ...we have had over 16 hrs sunshine down in South Devon (and i was in clinic most of the time )

Re: WOW!
It was a cracking day. Also had two pairs of tufted ducks on the river outside the house. Luckily someone else walked the dogs today (students from the factory) so had a very relaxing evening playing with the new kittens and watching the owl! I feel well rested this morning (but it was a MAD day at work yesterday) and Josh slept well last night (nightmare the night before about Dr Who!!!).
I cannot wait for the long lazy days of summer - i.e. two weeks in August!
